Derived from botulinum toxin, Botulinum Toxin Injection® is a neuromodulator that is injected into the muscles underneath the skin. Injected in small amounts, it blocks the nerve signals from reaching the muscle, preventing muscle activity in the area it is injected in, like around a wrinkle. There are two forms of Botulinum Toxin Injection® treatment: cosmetic and therapeutic.
